2A. What types of materials are available?
The types of available materials vary by location. Our network deliveres everything from clean dirt, mulch, compost, topsoil, decomposed granite, gravel, sand, and much more. To see available products in your area input the delivery address on our home page.
3A. How do I determine the correct material to order?
Our sales representative has detailed what the material can be used for. If you require additional information you can contact the sales representative directly by the phone number located on the product details pages. Call 888-688-Soil along with the three digit extension for the location.
4A. How do I calculate the amount of material I need to order?
In order to calculate the amount of material required we've included a material calculator located on our home page. Simply input the length, width, and depth of the area you are trying to fill. Once you click on the calculate button you will be displayed the amount of material needed in cubic yards.
5A. When will my order be delivered?
During checkout you can specify your desired delivery date and time. Once you place an order online a dispatcher will contact you to confirm the delivery date and time. This usually happens with 24 hours of placing an order.
6A. Where will the material be dumped?
The driver is only responsible for a delivery up to the street. Upon arrival you may allow the driver to enter your property. By allowing the driver to enter the property you accept full responsibility for any damages. For additional information visit Terms of Use
7A. What types of trucks deliver the material?
A typical delivery is done with a commercial truck. These include 10 wheelers, super 10's, transfer trucks, end dumps, bottom dumps, and bobtails. You can select what type of truck to be used for delivery when you are viewing pricing.
8A. Why are there multiple trucks for a location?
Some locations have multiple trucks that can deliver the materials. Each truck carries a different amount of material and has different transportation costs. Therefore, the pricing for one truck may be different than another truck.
9A. Can I cancel an order after it is placed online?
An order can only be canceled prior to delivery and must be acknowledged by the dispatcher. A typical 24 hour notice is usually required for all canceled orders. Call 888-688-7645 x 0 to cancel an order and speak to customer service.
10A. Can I reschedule a delivery once I place an order?
Yes, you can reschedule a delivery once you place an order. All reschedules must be acknowledged by the dispatcher prior to delivery. A 24 hour notice is usually required for rescheduling.
11A. Can I return any remaining material if I ordered too much?
We do not allow any returns on ordered material. We always recommend measuring the area and use our online calculator to determine the correct amount of material required for each job.
12A. Why are there multiple locations for a product?
We allow the customer to choose which location they want to order the material from. Each location has different prices for the material and transportation costs therefore creating different pricing per location.
13A. What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept all major credit cards through PayPal or Google Checkout. We do not accept checks or cash.

17A. Do you offer contactor pricing?
We offer discounts to licensed contractors only. In order to obtain contractor pricing you must create a customer account and include a valid contractor's license number. Upon review we will discount 5% on any future orders thru SoilDirect.com.
18A. I am tax exempt. How do I remove tax from my order?
In order to be tax exempt you must create a customer account and supply us with a valid sellers permit number. Upon verification of a valid permit we will remove sales tax from your orders.
19A. Why do I need to input an address in order to obtain pricing?
An address is needed in order to calculate what materials are deliverable to the address. Furthermore, we calculate the driving distance from the supplier's location to the delivery address and use a formula to determine the transportation costs.
20A. Who are the suppliers?
Our network of suppliers vary based on your location. We prescreen each supplier to make sure they have quality products and are fully insured.
